Day 05, 30 October 2019 – Thame

After a good sleep and good breakfast we left our nice hotel for walking in north direction. We passed through a beautiful wooden area before we reached more open hills. The view was as always fantastic. We saw some interesting animals as mounting goats called Himalayan Thar, Himalayan Peasants and also vulture.

Nuns at the Monastery

During lunch time in Thamo we visited a monastery for nuns. Together with the nuns we met a Swedish youngster who lived with the nuns for six weeks to learn meditation and the Tibetan language. During this day we gained 500 m. It was no hard trek to Thame and everyone in our group feels good. Before dinner three of us made an extra trek up 170 m to the fantastic monastery of Theme. They had a school for children, and monks in full action during our visit. We were impressed of the beautiful buildings and there life in the monastery.
